Our Story
Vallee was founded in 2016, born out of a background in high-end commercial and residential painting and a fascination with architectural finishes that most Australian trades weren't offering at the time.
We were early to the cement look, lime plaster and Venetian plaster trend completing high-end shop fit outs and architectural homes across Victoria, Melbourne and New South Wales at a time when local expertise was almost impossible to find. The results consistently stopped people in their tracks.
From wall finishes, the work evolved naturally into furniture. The pursuit of the same seamless, tactile quality led to the creation of custom GFR concrete furniture pieces in 2017 and eventually to the handcrafted concrete baths and basins that Vallee is known for today.
Everything we make and apply is done by our own team. That has never changed.
And now at Vallee, we have dedicated ourselves to crafting concrete baths, basins and tables that redefine what a material can do. Hand packed, poured + troweled, and made to order.
Every Vallee piece is unique- subtle tonal variation, fine pinholes, laitance, and a surface that tells the story of its making. No two pieces are identical, and that is the point.

Our Finishes
All Vallee pieces are available in our signature Atelier Finish - a hand packed, poured and troweled, densified and sealed surface with a contemporary low sheen. The Atelier Finish carries the natural character of the concrete: subtle tonal variation, fine pinholes, and a texture that only comes from something made by hand.
Custom colours are available across the full Rockcote Natural Materials range.

Lead Times & Delivery
All Vallee pieces are made to order. Current lead times:
- Basins — 4–6 weeks
- Baths — 8–16 weeks depending on model
- Tables — lead time on enquiry
We deliver Australia-wide. Please contact us prior to ordering to confirm freight pricing for your location. Free local pickup is available on request.

Caring for Your Vallee
Baths & Basins
- Wipe up spills promptly — soap, oils and bath products are sealer-safe but should not be left to sit
- Clean with a warm, damp cloth or soft microfibre cloth with mild soapy water
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive sponges, or vigorous scrubbing
- Dry the surface after use, especially around the drain and edges
- Avoid placing heavy items on edges or dragging objects across the surface
Tables & Furniture
- Wipe up spills immediately — including wine, coffee, vinegar and oils
- Use coasters, placemats, and trivets under hot items
- Do not use your concrete surface as a chopping board
- Avoid high-impact knocks along edges
Our Vallee sealer is a deep-penetrating, hardening sealer that chemically reacts with the concrete to fill microscopic pores — durable and long-lasting under normal use and care. Chips and scratches can usually be repaired by a Vallee artisan.
